Meet Kindred

The Story Behind Kindred Frame
Kindred Frame Studio was founded by Zoe, a creative with a heart for community and a vision for bringing photographers and artists together. What started as a dream to create a welcoming, inspiring space has grown into something much bigger than just a studio. It is a place where creatives can connect, collaborate, and feel supported in their journey.
Zoe’s passion for storytelling and creativity is at the center of everything Kindred Frame stands for. She believes that when artists feel seen and supported, their work becomes even more powerful. Her goal is to build a space where people feel comfortable showing up as themselves, sharing ideas, and growing together.
Alongside her is her husband, Carnelle, who goes by Nelly. Nelly plays a huge role in bringing the vision to life. From helping behind the scenes to supporting events and
making sure the studio runs smoothly, he is an important part of the foundation of Kindred Frame. Together, they are building more than a studio. They are building a creative home for their community.
Kindred Frame Studio is rooted in connection, collaboration, and creativity. Zoe and Nelly are excited to welcome you into a space that feels inspiring, supportive, and truly yours.
Photography has been part of Zoe’s life for the past three years, but storytelling has always been at the center of why she does what she does. She specializes in milestone photography, from maternity and newborn to six months, one year, and family sessions. For Zoe, it has never been about simply pointing and shooting. She wants every gallery to feel like a reflection of her clients’ stories and the season of life they are in.
When the vision for Kindred began forming, Zoe was deep in motherhood, building her business while raising her babies. She had experienced so much unconditional support from family and friends, from modeling for her when she first started to continuing to book her as she grew. That support shaped her and planted the desire to create a space where others could feel that same encouragement.
Over the years, Zoe rented many studios and loved the opportunities they provided, not just creatively but in connecting with other photographers who shared similar passions. Still, she often felt the sense of community could be stronger with the right support behind it. She envisioned a space where photographers would feel heard, seen, and supported the moment they walked in. A place where they could grow, learn, ask questions, and create freely. She also wanted to make studio access more attainable, knowing not everyone can afford their own space. Her hope was to create something that felt shared, welcoming,

and rooted in belonging.
Zoe is building Kindred Frame alongside her husband, Nelly. Together, they are creating more than a studio. While Zoe leads the creative vision and community building, Nelly brings structure, stability, and hands-on support to the space. From behind-the-scenes logistics to supporting events and day-to-day operations, he plays an essential role in turning the vision into reality.
At its core, Kindred Frame is about connection. Zoe and Nelly value authenticity, collaboration, and growth. Their hope is that every creative who walks through the doors feels inspired, supported, and genuinely welcomed. They are building a space where artists can create confidently and be surrounded by a community that believes in them.

At the center of everything Zoe builds is her family. She and her husband, Nelly, are raising two boys who inspire so much of the heart behind Kindred Frame. Motherhood is what first deepened her desire to preserve memories and tell meaningful stories. Watching her own children grow has reminded her how quickly time moves, and that awareness fuels both her photography and the space she is creating for others. Everything they are building is grounded in family and the kind of legacy they hope to model for their boys.
Building Kindred Frame together has strengthened their partnership in new ways. Nelly has been a steady foundation through every step of the journey. He supports Zoe wholeheartedly, encourages her to dream bigger, and helps turn those dreams into action. While she carries the creative vision, he brings balance, problem-solving, and unwavering support. Together, they are intentional about creating something meaningful not only for their community, but for their own family.
Kindred Frame is more than a studio. It is a reflection of their values, their faith in community, and their belief that creativity flourishes where people feel supported. Zoe and Nelly hope every person who walks through the doors feels welcomed, inspired, and reminded that they belong. Their vision is simple. To build a space rooted in connection, fueled by creativity, and sustained by genuine support.
